Hi there! I’m offering this one-day poetry writing workshop next month, and I am super-excited about it. If you are going to be in the Worcester, MA area and you’re interested in attending, please register by clicking on the “Register here!” under “Information” in the newsletter.

Also, I’m presenting a paper next week on Thursday, October 21st, 11 AM at the Encountering Shakespeare Conference, Wright State University, Dayton, OH. If you are in the area check it out– should be a fabulous 3-day event!

  1. Hi Heather, are the poetry workshops in Southborough, MA this week open to high school students? I’m a high school English teacher at Algonquin Regional High School and like to share opportunities for reading and writing outside of the classroom with my students. Just wondering. Thanks.

    • Hi Jane– Sorry I did not catch your post sooner. The workshops are open to high school through adult. My next one is on Wed., Feb. 22nd. We’ll share and discuss some poems by Neruda, do some poetry prompt writing, and participants share their drafted work for feedback, if they choose. Not sure if you or any of your colleagues are heading to the Mass Poetry Festival, but I just found out today that the proposal I submitted was accepted. I’m doing a workshop for teachers with poet Jacqueline Morrill on Poetry and Gender. I’m also doing a workshop at the Young Writer’s Conference at St. John’s in Shrewsbury on March 4th. Thanks for inquiring, and sorry for such a lengthy response!
